Graduates of the Department of Ceramics and Glass Design | Participate in the Exhibition: Stanislav Libenský Award
Amir Cohen, Jana Mitnik and Nawal Amar, graduates of the Department of Ceramics and Glass Design, are participating in the international competitive exhibition: Stanislav Libenský Award for 2024. The graduates will present some of their final projects in the exhibition along with 48 artists from around the world. Also participating in the exhibition is department graduate Ariel Aravot.
The Stanislav Libenský Award is the only international exhibition in the world for glass dedicated entirely to graduates of glass studies.
Prof. Stanislav Libenský is considered one of the leading Czech glass artists in his field. His works, made in collaboration with Jaroslava Brichtová, are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. In addition to his artistic career, Libenský taught at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (VŠUP). He was a director and professor at the Specialized School of Glassmaking (SUPSS) in Železný Brod, where he lived and worked most of his life.
The exhibition, held at the Prague Gallery of Czech Glass, seeks to help young artists integrate into the professional world outside of the academy and explore the potential of glass.
