Time 11:30 - 13:00

The course aims to provide a theoretical and practical basis in landscape architecture, and to explore key issues from historical, cultural, social and ecological aspects of the field.
The course will focus on basic concepts in landscape architecture and issues related to the design of open spaces. We will get to know the landscape not as an object but as a space that we experience visually and in motion, which is inherently processual and develops over time. We will examine the influence of the site and the importance of the "place" connection to complex natural systems, and the materiality of the landscape through its components such as vegetation, water and topography. These concepts will be presented in their historical and contemporary context with an emphasis on projects from around the world.
