In the Department of Jewelry and Fashion’s Graduate Exhibition, continuous dialogue resonates between the tangible and the artistic, with the works mostly focusing on the relationship between body and garment, and the various crafts that create them – placing a strong emphasis on accessories, shoe designs, and knitting and weaving techniques. Over the years, the Department of Jewelry and Fashion has emphasized craftsmanship and the preservation of traditional handcrafts, while teaching clothing, jewelry, accessory, and object design. The current cohort of graduates, who began their studies during the pandemic and completed their final year during a war, created from deep within themselves, and learned to overcome many challenges along the way. Through it all, they found their way into a world of personal, free, and unique creation. This freedom to create was evident throughout the exhibition at Bezalel, as in many projects, the dialogue between the creator and the garment, as well as between the garment and the viewer, was clearly visible.

“The final projects presented in the exhibition throughout the newly renovated and impressive campus integrate the fields studied in the department: clothing, jewelry making, accessories and objects. They are based on rigorous craftsmanship and a wealth of materials and technology: from traditional metalwork, through creation with fabrics and soft materials, shoemaking and working with leather to advanced 3D printing techniques, digital fashion and AI.”
