Nurit Bar-Shai is an interdisciplinary artist who works at the intersection of art, science and technology. Her research and artistic practice look into microbial social networks and communication systems, collective collaboration, emergence, in vitro ecology and biomaterial fabrications. As an activist and educator working with biological systems, she conducts experiments through creative collaborative inquiries and addresses the ethics and the emerging practices of Do-It-Yourself biology and Citizen-Science. Bar-Shai is the co-founder of Genspace NYC, community biotech lab in Brooklyn, NY, where she founded and directed the Arts and Culture program. Bar-Shai developed collaborative STEAM projects including the NYC Biome Map. She is a contributor to the Leonardo ebook: Meta-Life: Biotechnologies, Synthetic Biology, ALife and the Arts. She is the co-curator of the BioArt exhibition Cut/Paste/Grow and the co-organizer of Nodes & Networks, NYC. Her work is included and featured on the cover of the MoMA book BioDesign: Nature, Science, Creativity, and the Princeton book Exploring the Invisible: Art, Science, and the Spiritual. Her artwork was commissioned by Turbulence.org, won a Prix Ars Electronica and included in the collection of the Rose Goldsen Archive of New Media Art at Cornell University.
Amos Boaz is a specialist in industrial design and automotive design.
With more than 20 years of experience designing Products and Vehicles all over the world.
These days Amos is being busy doing projects dealing with the Future of transportation-new vehicle platforms, autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles.
Amos Boaz is the head of the design at Ree Automotoive and has presented the future car platform by REE in the 2019 Frankfurt motor show.
Amos Boaz Has also designed a unique suspension system for Hino motors future truck that was shown on 2019 Tokyo motor show
Amos is the owner of amosboaz industrial design studio based in Torino and Shoresh
In 2018 amos was designing the Mantis for Carmor, a military revolutionary vehicle,with a mid driver position, rear motor and monocoque body and futuristic design.the Mantis was presented on the 2018 Eurosatury show

The Textron tiger- a combat vehicle that was designed by Amos Boaz was chosen to participate in the Jurassic world and Jee I Joe Retaliation movies.
Noam Dover (b. 1975) questions the traditional boundaries between design, crafts and production; addresses the cultural origins of materials and techniques; and creates objects that tell the story of their making.
Originating from industrial design, Noam’s work has shifted to hands-on craft, specialising in glass and ceramics. A keen open source technology maker and fascinated by craft history, Noam is looking for ways to create a synergy between traditional craft and digital fabrication. He sees his work as part of a chronology of craft knowledge, where today’s digital developments present new opportunities to the craft community, through open sourcing and an innovative approach. He is developing ceramic and glass 3D printers, tailored for a studio environment.
Received an MFA in Craft! Ceramics and Glass department, Konstfack University of Art, Craft and Design, Stockholm, Sweden. B.Des. in Industrial design from Bezalel.
He has exhibited worldwide, including Design/Miami, Milan’s design fair and London’s design festival. His work has won numerous prizes and is included in the collection of Holon Design Museum (IL) and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
Shanit Adam / Designer
Graduated from Bezalel Academy (Jewelry and Fashion department), and the Royal College of Art (Fashion department), specializing in footwear and accessories. Studied professional practices at London's Cordwainers LCF College.
In Her Designer/Maker Studio she creates as an independent brand, based on the principles of slow design, manufacturing locally long-lasting products. Co-founder of the Jerusalem Design Cooperative, a studio and home for a group of designers from various fields, working to promote initiatives and projects in the field of design in the city. Teaches in the Department of Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy, lives in Jerusalem with her partner and two daughters.

Dov Ganchrow (born 1970, USA) is a product designer and professor in the Industrial Design Department (B.Des. and M.Des. programs) from which he graduated with excellence in 1993.
His interests include all things fringe in both the human constructed and in the naturally occurring, alternative music, edged tools, martial arts and high altitude trekking. These also form the foundation of contemplation of the Anthropocene as well as our individual identity residing between nature and nurture.
Currently an independent designer, for over a decade and a half he worked together with prof. Ami Drach (1963-2012) on diverse design projects spanning the fields of medical, consumer, furniture, and museum exhibit design alongside the creation of more personal, experimental and conceptual works.
His works and joint studio creations have been shown extensively (e.g., MOMA - the Museum of Modern Art NY; MAD - the Museum of Art and Design NY; Pompidou Center Paris; the Smithsonian’s Cooper Hewitt Design Museum NY; Red Dot Museum Essen; Bozar Center for Fine Arts Brussels) and are in private and museum collections (e.g., Pompidou Center Paris; MAD - Museum of Art and Design NY; the Jewish Museum NY; MUDAC Design Museum Switzerland; Israel Museum; Tel Aviv Museum of Art). These works are often characterized by intelligent use and manipulation of materials and technologies, the incorporation of readymades as well as humor.
Safi Hefetz (born in 1962), industrial designer and senior design lecturer, graduated with honors from the Department of Industrial Design at Bezalel (1990) and holds over two decades of professional and teaching experience. Hefetz serves as head of the Industrial Design Department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem and co-founder of the I2D product development and innovation company located in Tel Aviv (www.i2d.co.il).
The complexity of the relationship between man, the environment, and the industrial world and its various derivatives form a creative thinking base for Hefetz's professional, conceptual, and experimental pursuits. His professional academic activities are complimented by an interest in the underwater world, explored through scuba and free diving.
Hefetz leads many of I2D’s strategic projects for Israeli and international companies in the fields of medicine, technology, and consumerism, including SanDisk, Medtronic, Lumus, Stratasys, Thales, Rosseto, Coloright, Sapling, Il Makiage, and more. Before founding I2D, Safi served as a leading designer and managed the design department at Scitex, one of the first technology companies in Israel to become an international company. Hefetz has designed dozens of technological products, including digital cameras, scanners, and large-scale printers that have been sold all over the world with great success.
Over the years Hefetz has won many national and international awards and commendations for his work, including: Crate and Barrel Award, Good Design, IF, Red Dot, IDSA, and the 2016 Ministry of Culture and Sports Award.
His works have been exhibited in museums and exhibitions around the world: Cooper Hewitt - New York, Gardiner Museum - Toronto, Israel Museum, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Triennale - Milan, Red Dot Museum, Design Museum Holon, and more.

Eran Lederman is a designer, researcher, and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem. He is the founder and head of the RDFD research group - Relevant Design for Disaster - which develops innovative solutions for extreme scenarios, strengthens community resilience, and creates interfaces between design, technology, and policy. His research focuses on early warning systems for earthquakes, floods, and tsunamis; temporary housing for displaced communities; the integration of renewable energy; and advanced protective solutions against warfare scenarios. His work is supported by research grants from Israeli institutions including the Ministry of Science, DDR&D, and NEMA, as well as through international collaborations with the European Union, such as DESURBS and E2i.
Alongside his research, Lederman has taught at Bezalel since 1999, offering studio and technology courses, including “Earthquake - Design for Extreme Scenarios”, developed with international partners. Since 2001, he has also run an independent design studio that collaborates with established companies and start-ups, committed to ethical, responsible, and high-quality design.
His creative works have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Israel and abroad, including the Israel Museum’s exhibition “Seated in Seclusion: Bratslav Hasidim and Contemporary Design”, with photographs sold in collector’s editions. Lederman is the recipient of the Meisler Prize for Excellence at Bezalel, the Atir Award from the Ministry of Economy, and the international iF Design Award, and serves as an advisor to Israel’s Ministry of Education and the Prime Minister’s Office.
Menashri is an outstanding graduate of the Industrial Design Department of Bezalel.
Boaz is a Lecturer at the Industrial Design and the Visual and Material Culture Departments of Bezalel. In addition, he one of the founders of the Bezalel postgraduate Incubator Program.
Boaz was presented with the “Dovrat” Award for Innovation in Design, and the Manufacturers Association Award for his great work and achievements.
Boaz specializes in teaching “wood technology” and development of mechanical – analog devices.
